Mission Statement

Grants Management’s mission is to provide an integrated system of resources, services, and opportunities to help people improve their lives, the lives of others, neighborhoods, and the total community.

Work is performed under the Assistant County Manager – Finance.

Departmental Services

Grants Management offers continuous dedication to our community through coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining a centralized database of all grants and grant projects for the County. Grants Management also assists the Departments and Grant Consultants in the acquisition, implementation, and administration of grant programs. Housing assistance programs are offered to the citizens of Hardee County.
Eligibility requirements apply to the programs offered.

Housing Rehabilitation Program

Housing Rehabilitation is provided to low-income range Hardee County owner-occupied, single-family residents (excludes mobile homes ) to make repairs/alterations that improve the health, safety, and well-being of occupants of the home, address structural integrity and preservation of the home, modify the home for accessibility for elderly or physically impaired occupants, and address weatherization or to correct code violations.

First Time Home Buyer Program

Purchase assistance, to aid with closing costs and down payment, is provided to First Time Home Buyers whose household income is in the low to moderate income range.

Fair Housing

Federal Law prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or familial status when renting, selling, or financing a home or property.
